Frames of the little girl from the never-completed \bAlchemist's Daughter,\b my first test piece that convinced me that I could actually animate. At this point, our more primitive methods required the use of a separate tracing with which to apply shadows, resulting in more paper, more work, and more chance of error. At the time, I was forced to paint them on Jerry's antique Macintosh, where I became very familiar with the "progress" bar.
